BAZA is a new old neighbor in a historically rich and vibrant district. On the guided tour, you will discover how the area along the Ljubljanica River is transforming from a former industrial and degraded zone into a lively cultural, creative, and youth quarter. You will gain insight into the river’s importance for the city’s development and explore architectural heritage such as Plečnik’s floodgates and the Dragon Bridge, as well as the newly redesigned Petkovšek Embankment, Ambrož Square, and Prekmurje Square.

You will also learn how the Cukrarna Gallery and the Rog Centre help shape the city’s modern pulse and what programs and opportunities they offer for young people. Special attention will be given to BAZA, the Ljubljana Youth Centre, opening its doors in the Cukrarna Palace. There, you will find out how this new space provides young people with opportunities for creativity, connection, and the development of ideas, symbolizing the revitalization of the entire area.
